Action notes: I sat and gently looked at the green of the plants, the grey of the couch. I imagined them as sounds, listening as intently as I could. Something between an imagined synesthesia and the knowledge that these do make sounds (the plants at least — maybe the couch too?) but that I can’t detect them, and so I tried to “imagine-feel” the sound vibrations that they are emitting.
Action constraints: Having my sweeties here is lovely, but I am on a residency and the place is small and humans take space. Tensions are inevitable, but not pleasant. The action did slow my body-energy down (calm down amygdala!) and the listening-action reattuned my attention successfully (enough).
