Action notes: In the lounge where I was resting, 60 seconds of silence was requested, for fallen veterans. As an interloper in a space full of US Americans, and as someone who does not respond to nationalist performances, I, nonetheless, stood with the group. I listened to a group of humans being quiet in a context that was not normally a quiet one. This was a small group surrounded by a larger group of folks drinking and laughing.

Action constraints: It was both touching and disturbing. I found myself thinking about how lovely it is to have a group of people just being silent together. Stopping the action. I thought about how 60 seconds always feels longer when just listening to it. I watched.
